Senior Attorney in Family Law (Greater Bay Area/Greater Los Angeles Area)

The Zhou Law Group is seeking experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated senior attorneys in family law to join our team. The Zhou Law Group is one of the largest family law firms with the top-rated divorce lawyers and accomplished support team in San Jose and Los Angeles. The Group provides legal services on family issues relating to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence, etc.

Responsibilities:

– Complete strategy meeting with client at inception of representation by the firm;

– Advise clients on their legal options in determining course of litigation and/or settlement;

– Review and respond to correspondence from clients and opposing counsel;

– Prepare clients for hearings and depositions;

– Prepare case strategy and case strategy team oversight while giving direction on all complex cases, including cases set for long cause hearings;

– Represent clients in litigation at various hearings;

– Sit first chair in Trials, as needed.

Requirements:

– Licensed by the California State Bar;

– Experience or demonstrated interest in family law (minimum of 2 years related experience required);

– Courtroom experience, completed trial advocacy class/programs, and/or participated in trial competitions;

– Strong legal research and writing skills;

– Attention to details;

– Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations;

– Strong team work and interpersonal skills;

Paralegal in Family Law  (Greater Bay Area/Greater Los Angeles Area)

The Zhou Law Group is seeking experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated senior paralegals and paralegals in family law to join our team. The Zhou Law Group is one of the largest family law firms with the top-rated divorce lawyers and accomplished support team in San Jose and Los Angeles. The Group provides legal services on family issues relating to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence, etc.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct research to support legal proceedings;

– Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents such as motions, declarations, discovery, financial documents and etc.;

– Investigate facts to support attorneys in legal proceedings;

– Record and store client information;

– Provide administrative and legal work support for attorneys in court and at the offices;

– Calendar hearings and deadlines and abide by deadlines.

Requirements:

– Minimum of one-year experience, preferred in family law;

– Excellent organizational and multitasking skills;

– Strong written and verbal communication skills;

– Basic understanding of local court rules, filing deadlines, calendaring, and          preparation and filing of court documents requirements;

– Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients and courts;

– Self-motivated and a quick learner;

– Positive attitude and high integrity;

– Strong attention to detail;

– Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations;

– Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences;
